Adams Boulevard puts a bakery morning, a patio lunch and a destination dinner on the same stretch of street. A few blocks south, Jefferson Boulevard adds galleries with very different perspectives on contemporary art. Around 5788 W Adams, these two corridors make a useful way to explore the neighborhood: see the workplace, then stay for the places that shape the day around it.

Farmhouse Kitchen Thai
5560 W Adams Blvd
Thai curries, noodles and Hat Yai fried chicken bring a generous, celebratory option to the boulevard. The restaurant accommodates dine-in visits and larger parties, useful when a tour becomes a team dinner.
Bread and pastry lead the offering at this compact bakery, with tartines, sandwiches and salads rounding out a daytime stop. Make it the first address on an Adams Boulevard tour for coffee and something from the pastry case.
A Mediterranean grill built around falafel, shawarma, kebabs and bright vegetable sides. Its garden patio and build-your-own pickle bar give a straightforward lunch a little room to linger.
Chef Keith Corbin’s restaurant interprets Los Angeles through seasonal California cooking. The dinner service and adjoining wine shop make this an anchor for a longer client meal or an evening in the neighborhood.

West Adams offers two useful lenses on art: Thinkspace’s New Contemporary program and the Landing’s dialogue between postwar and contemporary work. The artist profiles below trace documented exhibitions here, rather than implying every featured artist keeps a neighborhood studio.

Thinkspace Projects
4217 W Jefferson Blvd
A gallery devoted to New Contemporary art, with a program spanning emerging and established international artists. Figurative painting, surreal imagery and artists working across galleries and public murals make this a useful entry point to the Jefferson Boulevard art corridor.
The gallery places postwar work, particularly art made in California, in conversation with living artists. Its solo, paired and thematic exhibitions offer a different pace from a quick gallery crawl: leave time to look closely at materials, surfaces and relationships between generations.
Exhibition connection: Thinkspace Projects, West Adams
The O‘ahu artist behind Punky Aloha Studio brings Pacific Islander histories and identities into bold figurative images. Thinkspace’s October 2026 exhibition, Suns, Stars, and Story Systems, connects her work to Pacific traditions of storytelling. Her connection here is the gallery program, not a claimed local residence or studio.
Exhibition connection: the Landing, Jefferson Boulevard
Valdez combines painting with fabric, sewing and embroidery, letting the construction of a work remain visible. The Landing presented Wild Child in 2019 and The Deep Way in 2021–22, placing her tactile abstractions within this neighborhood’s exhibition history. The artist is based in New York; this is a documented gallery connection.
